NSLA General Meeting 2023
The Northern Slopes Landcare Association held its Annual General Meeting last week at the iconic Roxy Theatre in Bingara. We are delighted to announce that Kate Groth has been reelected as Chair for a further 12-month term, continuing her dedicated leadership of the association.
Kate Groth will be supported by a strong and capable team, including Geoff Cruickshank as Vice Chair, Jo-Anna Skewes as Secretary, and Barry Rogers as Treasurer. In addition, the committee members include Ran Mitchell, Jason Mack, Janny Cruickshank, John Bishton, Jodi Kelehear, and Richard Doyle.
Together, this team will guide the association through another productive year of environmental and community initiatives. We welcome new committee members Richard and Jo, and also would like to thank outgoing members John Hickson and Paddy Eagar for their services to NSLA.
The Annual General Meeting was not just about formalities; it was also a celebration of the vibrant community that supports Northern Slopes Landcare Association. After the meeting, attendees were treated to the Bingara premiere of the movie "Rachel's Farm," featuring the talented Rachel Ward and Bryan Brown. The film takes audiences on an inspiring and highly entertaining journey into the world of regenerative farming through Rachel's own experiences.
The evening continued with a delightful dinner that brought members together, fostering the strong sense of community that the association is known for. The highlight of the night was a birthday cake to commemorate 25 remarkable years of the Northern Slopes Landcare Association's dedication to environmental conservation and community well-being.
"The re-election of Kate Groth and the impressive lineup of office bearers and committee members ensure that the Northern Slopes Landcare Association is in capable hands," said a spokesperson for the association. "We are grateful for the ongoing support from our community and look forward to another year of working together to make a positive impact on our local environment."
