We currently have two Local Landcare Coordinator positions available. Positions will be 32 and 35 hours per week respectively and will be contracted roles until 30/6/2027. The successful applicant/s will work across selected locations dependent on their place of residence. Areas to be covered include the Walgett Shire, Narrabri Shire, Moree Plains Shire and Gwydir Shire.
There is potential for the role to be job shared, so applicants only available for a part-time role (17.5 hours per week minimum) are still encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
The Local Landcare Coordinator is responsible for providing support to, assisting with coordination of, and developing new, local community volunteer Landcare groups. They will work with their host organisation, the Landcare groups and organisations of their area to support and empower them to achieve their own goals, to participate in Landcare, to partner with Local Land Services, other Government agencies and community organisations to deliver on the target outcomes of the LP3 - NSW Landcare Program.
